I've been interpreting astrological charts for nearly 50 years and have been on earth for almost 79. I thought it was about time I passed all the secrets I have learned about the heavens on to you. After all, we do learn a lot through the years -- what works and what doesn't -- and, fortunately, or unfortunately, nobody lives here without passing on to another place. It's been a long journey and it's taken me a long time to finally come home to my true place here. I am now fulfilling my Tikune by sharing the many things I've learned about the planets with you.
It certainly hasn't been easy. Long before I became an astrologer, I was a Yoga monk. I had to do serious disciplines of renouncing the world and all my belongings, practicing poverty, serving others, meditating, doing silent mantras, pujas (spiritual ceremonies), living the life of a celibate, and traveling places to help others without any money or support. I found countless little miracles along the way -- like having no money in my pocket for a bus then finding a quarter underneath my feet at the exact moment when I stepped aboard, or the time when I gave away my last dollar to help a man and then a few moments later another man gave me ten dollars without me even asking. Perhaps you have experienced such little miracles in your own life.
There were many intense spiritual moments when I lost all sense of having a body and felt my whole being bathed in a timeless bliss. At one time, I began to laugh and dance hilariously, exclaiming to a fellow monk
"There is nothing happening here. There is absolutely nothing happening. It's all a dream. We're dreaming a dream and don't even know it. The world is a joke and we are taking it for real!"
This glimpse into the reality of my true nature lasted for about three days, and then it faded. I lost my vision and the world became "real" again, but not exactly in the same way. I know enough now not to take it so seriously. I know that a few moments of meditation and contemplation will bring back my sense of a timeless connection to the divine presence I felt and knew so many years ago.
I am certainly no longer deluded by the belief that Heaven is some place else. It is definitely here, certainly not some other place! This very moment in our hearts and it can be awakened by an act of love or the sacrifice of our ego. I hope you have had a taste of this eternal presence. It is very real. One glimpse can completely change your life.
After my many years as a monk, I came out into the world and became a waiter.I was at first shocked at how cruel people were to each other and to have money again was a very strange experience. I had not been "paid" for anything for nearly eleven years, so you can see that getting money for working was not something I was used to. I used to go to a park in Denver to give some of it away to the homeless people. Believe me, it was very strange having money.
I used to come home at night and study all about the planets and practice reading astrology charts until sunrise. I was completely obsessed with learning how the planets revealed a person's desires, conflicts, talents and destiny. At first, after a long time, I did charts for free just to get a lot of practice. Then I charged $10. Later on when I got much better, Astrology became my profession.
After nearly 50 years of practice, I have found that a lot of things in traditional astrology simply don't work -- this is especially true of the distorted house systems. But I see a lot of astrologers still using them. Of course, I certainly don't consider what I have learned to be the last word because there is so much to know and to discover. I only use those things that work for me and discard anything that doesn't. While some astrologers do use the actual stars in the West, this is not the usual practice. It really makes more sense to call the astrology that is practiced in the west Planetary Psychology rather than astrology. That's why I created a Service Mark for it.
After all, it is the planets that reveal the psyche of the person. This is what the famous psychiatrist, Carl Jung, discovered. He might have even used this term if he had thought of it because the planets are archetypes or models of our inner nature. They reveal what is going on inside of us through their symbols and signs and relationships to each other. You have probably noticed that most western astrologers don't talk about the stars when doing their readings. They talk about the planets and their relationship to your life. This is why western astrology should be called "Planetary Psychology."

Here you will find new insights into the hidden meaning of the planets which provides a simple and original method that anyone can use for understanding other people and their deeper life experiences. This book would also be very helpful for practicing astrologers.
